George W. Bush seems happy as ever as America's cheerleader-in-chief at the Beijing Olympics. Too bad his handlers didn't take care of the flag business as they normally do in arranging props for the President. So, is Dubya using the flag to make a political statement? Is he unAmerican? What if a figurehead like Miss America showed disrespect like this for America's number one symbol? Help us caption George's flagging moment by submitting a comment. This is what Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (AZ) is using as his Facebook profile shot. Typically candidates use a headshot or photos in front of flags, giving speeches, with supporters, whatever ... but this? Technorati Tags: Caption This McCain Facebook

Europe has not been spared over the legacy left by George W. Bush. But regardless of where you're from, this 2-year-old picture from Germany, thanks to Reuters, sums up a lot of feelings toward Bush. We may not cry like a baby, but he does make us cry over what has been done. The beauty of this photo is that it looks like Bush made the baby cry on purpose, an easy skill for him to display. The behavior in public of George W. Bush knows no bounds -- at all. The latest moment of national "pride" was watching this ceremonial "Bump to the Chief." Embarrassing is when your uncle does things such as the dancing (oh, the dancing). But this is the person who, at least theoretically, is the president of the United States. For a man who has produced such destruction, both home and abroad, he seems very unhappy about his job. Bush isn't unhappy because thinks aren't going well, he's unhappy when he's not having fun. He only seems happy when he does childish crap such as this. Technorati Tags: Caption This George W. Bush military awesome cheerleader

picture from this Web site Today is May 1, the 5th anniversary of Bush's "Mission Accomplished" photo-op. But the mission still goes on and on and on. The frustration and anger of the failed Bush policies stems in some part from that insanely cocky photo-op of Bush flying onto the aircraft carrier in his "uniform."
So put on your marketing thinking caps? Let us know what the banner should say 5 years later. It could be "What is our mission in Iraq?" or "Bush's tragic legacy." Keep it short and pithy. Give us your best shot. Technorati Tags: Caption This

We found a great photo above of W. kissing Kateryna Yushchenko, wife of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, as the Bushes were leaving Kiev. And since we love goofy photos of the current inhabitant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, we knew we had to offer this one up as the latest "Caption This." Technorati Tags: Caption This George W. A BUZZFLASH CAPTION THIS CHALLENGE Aaah, in between Valentine's Day and the first robins of spring, love is still in the air. No, not that kind of love. It's the love between Republicans. "Oh, baby, more tax cuts for the rich." "No, you should oppress this minority. I got to do it the last time."

Seems like an ordinary image of a Bush press conference. But isn't this a microcosm of the White House press core during the Bush Administration? A bunch of mindless drones "heiling" the (Commander-in-)Chief.
All the scandals, all the destruction of the Constitution, all the senseless waste of human life in Iraq (ours and theirs), and the reaction among the press core is one of meek church mice. Right now, there are church mice who would object that they aren't as meek as the White House press core. Technorati Tags: Caption This George W. A BUZZFLASH CAPTION THIS CHALLENGE There's a new book just out on the 9/11 Commission, and it reveals that Philip Zelikow, the Executive Director of the "investigation," was actually, it strongly appears, working to cover up the neglect of Condoleezza Rice, Bush, and others in ignoring the warning signs that Al-Qaeda was going to launch an attack on the United States.
